Surya reported the missing bag and its contents through the Rail Madad app. Upon reaching Sambalpur station, RPF and railway staff initiated a search. This line should have been constructed parallel to Kolkata Mumbai highway and FLS for the same also was awarded. This could have been important to decongest the existing route as well as shorten the distance between the two metros and also the National Highway(East West Economic corridor) coupled with Railway line could have attracted huge investments. But as majority of the above route was to be passed from Chhattisgarh, The RM being from odisha changed the alignment (which was demanded from locals of the state) to favour his state. Also the new line would not reduce the distance between sambalpur/jharsuguda and Raipur much.
This also means in future the railway line parallel to NH would not be constructed. Very dirty politics...

Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur in Odisha. This decision was made after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requested the extension in two letters to Vaishnaw. The extension was part of a larger event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inaugurating the permanent campus of IIM, Sambalpur, and laying the foundation stone for various projects worth over Rs 68,000 crore. This includes railway projects worth Rs 2146 crore, including the redevelopment of Sambalpur railway station, the Sambalpur-Talcher Doubling Railway Line, the Jhartarbha to Sonepur New Railway line, and the flagging off of the Puri-Sonepur-Puri Weekly Express.
