To cater to the surge, Khandwa MP Gyaneshwar Patil requested Central Railway GM RK Yadav and Bhusaval DRM Iti Pandey to increase MEMU train frequency and adjust timings till June 15th. The railway authorities have approved the request and the additional services will operate on June 13th, 14th, and 15th with two trips each day. From June 16th, the train will run on its regular schedule. The first trip departs from Khandwa at 9:00 AM and arrives in Sanawad at 10:30 AM. The return trip departs from Sanawad at 1:00 PM and reaches Khandwa at 2:30 PM. The second trip leaves Khandwa at 3:00 PM and arrives in Sanawad at 4:30 PM. The return trip departs from Sanawad at 5:00 PM and arrives in Khandwa at 6:30 PM. Traffic congestion is reported in Omkareshwar due to the large number of visitors. The main road from Mortakka to Omkareshwar is closed for vehicular traffic, increasing the pressure on the Sanawad-Omkareshwar route, leading to frequent traffic jams.

tak MEMU train ke feron ko badhane aur timings adjust karne ki request ki thi. Railway ne yeh request approve kar di hai. June 13th, 14th, aur 15th ko do trips daily chalayenge. June 16th se train apne regular schedule pe chalegi. Pehla trip Khandwa se 9:00 AM par start hoga aur Sanawad mein 10:30 AM par pahunchega. Return trip Sanawad se 1:00 PM par start hoga aur Khandwa mein 2:30 PM par pahunchega. Dusra trip Khandwa se 3:00 PM par start hoga aur Sanawad mein 4:30 PM par pahunchega. Return trip Sanawad se 5:00 PM par start hoga aur Khandwa mein 6:30 PM par pahunchega. Omkareshwar mein bahut traffic jam hai because bahut saare visitors aa rahe hain. Mortakka se Omkareshwar tak main road band hai, isliye Sanawad-Omkareshwar route pe bahut traffic jam aa raha hai.

The project involves the construction of 21 tunnels, 36 major bridges, 76 minor bridges, 12 under bridges, and over bridges. The longest tunnel, measuring 4.1 km, is already under construction. The total project cost is estimated at ₹910 crores, with ₹231 crores allocated for the Balwada-Sanawad section. The project is expected to be completed by 2026. The tenders for the remaining sections of the project will be opened by June 10th, with construction expected to begin in September.

Project ki total cost ₹910 crores hai, jismein ₹231 crores Balwada-Sanawad section ke liye allocate kiya gaya hai. Project 2026 tak complete hone ki ummid hai. Kafi saare new rail projects chal rahe hain, jaise Indore-Dahod, Indore-Budhni, Indore-Mahou-Khandwa, and Indore-Manmad, jisse bahut zyada trains chalengi. Kumedhi mein ek new, bada railway station banane ka plan hai, taaki trains ki badhti hui number ko manage kiya ja sake. Lakshmibai Nagar station se goods storage ko shift karne ka bhi suggestion hai, taaki extra platforms banaye ja sake, aur Rajendra Nagar station ko station return trains chalaane ke liye use kiya ja sake, taaki main station par crowd kam ho.

Running express of every station will reduce its importance
In case of Indore LMNR & INDB be terminal and DADN be a far terminal and all trains from DADN including express & superfast must be given halt at Rajendra Nagar and should not stop at Indore main junction, it will reduce congestion

The new alignment of the track will diverge from Patalpani and pass through Bedia, Beka, Kulthana, Rajpura, and Choral, with new stations being constructed at each location. A new station is also being built in Choral. The existing line will be connected to the old meter gauge line about 6 km before Mukhtyarabardwala. The project includes 21 tunnels, 36 major bridges, 76 minor bridges, 12 underpasses, and overpasses. The project is divided into two parts, Mahu-Balwada and Balwada-Barwaha. Construction work is also underway on a new broad gauge bridge over the Narmada River at Mortakka, replacing the old bridge. The construction of an ROB will also be carried out at the Patalpani waterfall. The Patalpani to Portal-1 section, which includes hilly terrain, will require several bridges. A 200-meter long bridge will be constructed over the Mehndi Kund tourist spot, resting on pillars. The project is being undertaken in phases to ensure timely completion. The tender for the 7.5 km section between Patalpani and the tunnel has been awarded.
