The farmers have called for a peaceful demonstration, urging the public to avoid traveling during the protest hours. Despite the protest being peaceful, some trains were canceled and rerouted, causing inconvenience for commuters. The demonstration resulted in passengers being stranded at stations and being forced to seek alternative transport options. The police have been deployed at stations to maintain order. Notably, the protest has not been affected by the model code of conduct implementation, which usually restricts demonstrations during election season.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel will monitor the entire station from this control room. The CCTV camera installation project was initially planned before the COVID-19 pandemic, with a survey conducted in August 2019. Work commenced in October but was halted due to the lockdown. A new survey was conducted in 2022, and RailTel was awarded the tender.
