Yesterday I boarded 12962 Avantika Express from Indore for Mumbai. Train has boarding of more than 300 people in AC and Sleeper (>200 in sleeper) compartments from Meghnagar. They went to Meghnagar in 12961 on Friday and were returning from Meghnagar on Sunday 12962. They were on pilgrimage to Mohankheda, a Jain Pilgrimage place. Apart from it, many people do go for weekends from Mumbai to upto Indore on this route. Very frequently such group travels happen and it eats away other travellers seats (they all had confirm and RAC seats, but they occupied much of total seats resulting in heavy waitlist passengers). A train specially for Meghnagar, Ratlam belt shall be provided. Once this train is initiated, stoppages for 12955/56, 12961/62 and other Mumbai bound trains for Meghnagar can be taken away. Timing could be departure before Vadodara Express from Mumbai and in return, this train can run before vadodara...
