8:50 AM. The train was travelling from New Jalpaiguri Junction to Sealdah. Das, who worked for the RMS department, had spoken to his family at 8:30 AM but could not be reached after the accident. His family contacted the inquiry centre at Sealdah station around 10:25 AM and later received the news of his death. The accident has also resulted in over 30 injuries, and the death toll is expected to rise.

2 luggage compartments bhi include hain. Accident subah 8:50 AM hua. Train New Jalpaiguri Junction se Sealdah ja rahi thi. Das, RMS department mein kaam karte the, unhone subah 8:30 AM par apne family se baat ki thi, lekin accident ke baad woh contact nahin ho paye. Unki family ne Sealdah station ke inquiry centre par subah 10:25 AM par contact kiya aur baad mein unhe unki maut ki khabar mili. Accident mein 30 se zyada log injured bhi hue hain, aur marne walon ki sankhya badhne ki sambhavna hai.
