Corporation, tasked with the painting project, studied models from various cities including Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Bhopal, ultimately choosing the Nagpur model for its aesthetic appeal. The Nagpur model features dense greenery on both sides of the road, though Indore does not require railings due to its layout. Construction of a bridge at the Lavkush crossroads is also underway, with two sections designed to allow metro operations while maintaining traffic flow. The bridge will connect the Super Corridor and MR-10 sections. Looking towards the future, the state government plans to extend the Indore Metro to Ujjain by 2028, with surveys and other paperwork already initiated. The government is also exploring the feasibility of extending the metro line to Mhow and Pithampur.
