A new railway link is being built to connect Bangalore's airport to Cantt station, reducing travel time to about 40 minutes. This is expected to alleviate traffic congestion. Other ongoing railway projects in the area include modernizing 1,137 stations and developing a circular railway to link Bengaluru with nearby towns.
