The hotel owner claimed that the demolition occurred without prior notice and that they were in talks with railway officials to remove the hotel after Durga Puja. The railway is also planning to demolish dozens of quarters and four offices in the Traffic Colony and has already served notices to leaseholders in Station Chowk, Kitadih Road, and Gudri Bazaar.
