The MPs requested the railway authorities to not change the schedule and halts of the Ganga-Damodar Express, which runs from Dhanbad to Patna, as there were plans to run the train from Patna to Dumka. They also asked for an increase in the number of sleeper coaches in the Ganga-Damodar Express. Other demands included increasing the emergency quota for Dhanbad in the Sealdah Rajdhani, running a train from Dhanbad via Patna to Gorakhpur, running direct trains from Dhanbad to New Delhi and Dhanbad to Bengaluru, and constructing a foot overbridge near Barmasia Gate. The MPs also sought a progress report on the Dhanbad Giridih railway line, raised concerns about irregularities and dirtiness in the construction of the south end, and requested the construction of a foot overbridge and a platform at Pathardih railway station. The meeting discussed the modernization of Dhanbad railway station, with an emphasis on ensuring the shopkeepers outside the station are not displaced. They also requested the re-opening of the Asansol-Dhanbad MEMU passenger train, which was closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The MPs demanded that the reservation ticket counter on the south side be kept open till 8 pm and that the lifts on platforms 1 and 8 be repaired immediately.
