Karu was the second son of Ugan Sav from Madhwadih Panchayat's Bariyarpur village. He was unmarried and had gone to Mumbai for work four months ago. He was out with friends on the evening of the incident, when he slipped and fell near Mulund station, resulting in his death. His friends are helping bring his body back to his ancestral village.
