The app also allows for the validation of tickets after verification. Another feature of the app is its color verification system. The color of the ticket can be checked against the color code set by the railways for that day. If the displayed UTS ticket color differs from the designated color, it indicates potential fraud, prompting the passenger to pay a fine. CRIS aims to ensure the smooth functioning of the Unreserved Ticketing System, which handles the ticketing needs of roughly 20 million passengers daily, processes over 25,000 ticket bookings per minute, and manages over 200 million inquiries regarding train movements and arrival/departure times each day.
