The new railway station is being built under the Smart City Mission, with the Railways Ministry responsible for the construction of the track and station building, while the Smart City will handle the construction of the deck, ramp, and other structures outside the operational area. This decision was taken following a request from the MPs, who also requested the Ministry to cancel the ‘no objection’ clause for work outside the operational area, which the Minister agreed to. The Ministry will fund the construction within the operational area, including any future cost escalations.
