India is committed to providing facilities at the port as per a long-term contract signed with Iran in May 2023. Despite an MoU signed in 2016, the 700-km Chabahar-Zahedan railway line has yet to see progress. India is considering a renewed involvement in the construction of this railway line to enhance connectivity and make Chabahar the preferred link for traders.
