On Wednesday evening, a freight train derailed near Prayagraj Junction on the Delhi-Howrah route. Three wagons of the train, which was traveling from Kanpur to Pt. and a technical team arrived at the site and conducted rescue operations. The derailed wagons were cut and removed using gas kits, with one part being sent to Prayagraj and the other to Chivki. The Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express was allowed to pass through on the other line. There were no casualties reported. The railway authorities are working to clear the disrupted rail line.

Gas kit ki madad se patari se utre wagons ko kaat kar alag kiya gaya. Ek hisse ko Prayagraj aur dusre ko Chivki ki taraf bheja gaya. Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express ko dusri line se pass diya gaya. Is matter me Uttar Madhy Railway ke Prayagraj Mandal ke PRO Amit Kumar Singh ne bataya ki jaan kari koi hatah nahi hui. Uttar Madhy Railway ke mukhya jan sampark adhikari Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay ne bataya ki aaj Prayagraj me khali maalgaadi ke teen dibba patari se utar gaye. Is ghatna me jaan-maal ka koi nuksan nahi hua hai. Is ghatna ke karan baadhit rail marg ko saaf kiya ja raha hai.
