Railway officials have confirmed that the Rajendra Nagar - Howrah Express will soon commence operations from Ara. A trial run is scheduled for the first week of July, followed by the official launch of the regular service from July onwards. The Railway Ministry has reportedly approved this move. Former Ara MP and ex-Union Energy Minister, R.K. Singh, has advocated for extending this train service to Ara, requesting the railway minister to introduce trains from Ara to Howrah, Delhi, and Dhanbad. The Minister has reportedly greenlit this proposal.
