Specific routes include Balurghat – Hili – Gaibandha – Mahendraganj – Tura – Mendipathar, Balurghat – Hili – Parbatipur – Kaunia – Lalmanirhat – Mogalhat – Gitaldaha, and Gede – Darsana – Akhaura – Agartala. Gauge conversion is planned for the Petrapole – Benapole – Nabharon – Jessore – Rupdia – Padmabila – Lohagara – Kashiani – Shibchar – Mawa – Nimtala – Gendaria – Dhaka – Tongi – Bhairab Bazar – Akhaura – Agartala route. The Nepal section includes new lines between Biratnagar – New Mal and Galgalia – Bhadrapur – Kajali Bazar.
