On World Food Day, authorities in Bhopal cracked down on establishments selling chai and samosas made in unsanitary conditions. Another establishment, New Vijay Hotel, was also found making chai in unhygienic conditions and the case was referred for investigation as the owner and staff were absent. The Chief Food Safety Officer Devendra Dube stated that further action would be taken against these establishments.
