platforms at Prayag. The existing third platform's track, on the Ram Priya Road side, is enclosed by railings. These railings will be removed to create the fourth platform. The construction of the platform is aimed at accommodating the large number of pilgrims taking a dip in the Sangam. According to North Railway engineers, the platform construction will begin after the completion of the underpass being built near the station. Passengers arriving on platforms 1, 2, and 3 will need to use the foot over bridge. During the Maha Kumbh, a significant number of special trains will operate from Prayag, including those connecting Prayag and Ayodhya. These special trains will mainly be parked on the new platform. To improve accessibility, Ram Priya Road is being widened. Pilgrims will be able to walk directly from the station to the Sangam via Ram Priya Road and Bakshi Bandh.

Teesre platform ke track ka Ram Priya Road ki taraf ka hissa railing se ghira hua hai. Railing ko todkar chautha platform banane ki yojana banai gai hai. Sangam snan karne waale shraddhaluon ko dhyan mein rakhkar is platform ko banane ki yojana banai gai hai. North Railway ke engineers ka kehna hai ki station ke paas nirmanadheen underpass ka kaam pura hone ke baad platform ka nirman shuru hoga. Engineers ke mutabik platform ek, do aur teen par train se utarne walon ko foot over bridge ka istemal karna hoga. Maha Kumbh mein sarvadhik special trains ka sanchaln Prayag se hoga. Prayag aur Ayodhya ke beech special trains chalaai jaengi. Zyaadatar special trains ko nye platform par roka jaayega. Shraddhaluon ki suvidha ke liye Rampriya Road ka chaudaakaran kiya ja raha hai. Shraddhalu station se bahar aakar Rampriya Road aur Bakshi Bandh hokar seedhe Sangam pahunch jayenge.
