The RPF has named seven accused, including Akhilesh Poddar and his manager Mohan Gorai, of which five have been arrested. The raid team included the RPF in-charge, crime branch inspector Shailesh Chandra, and other RPF police personnel. Poddar is a notorious railway thief with a history of five arrests for stealing railway freight train bogies, sheets, tracks, and other scrap. He was arrested and imprisoned by the RPF in Seoni six months ago. However, he resumed his criminal activities after his release.
