The Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam is currently seeking an estimate for the land required for the service lane and underpass from the Shamli Sugar Mill. The Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam and Shamli Sugar Mill officials have already conducted a survey of the land for the overpass at railway crossing number 89. The Shamli Sugar Mill has submitted a 66 crore rupees estimate to the Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam Saharanpur for the land required for the service lane of the overpass. Tej Prakash Gupta, Assistant Engineer of the Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam Saharanpur Mandal, confirmed that the 66 crore rupees estimate received from the Shamli Sugar Mill has been sent to officials in Delhi. The construction work will commence once approval is received from Delhi. Drivers often face traffic congestion due to the railway crossing, making the overpass a much-needed solution.
