As part of the project, Mhow station's platform capacity will double from two to four platforms by July 24th, enabling the extension of several Indore trains to Mhow for maintenance on the three pit lines. The yard's design anticipates the future doubling of the Mhow-Khandwa mainline, minimizing the need for major adjustments at the Patalpani end. The Mhow yard will include four full-capacity platforms (six total), seven stabling lines, a ballast siding, an accident relief train siding, a station building adjacent to platform four, an army (medical train) line, a saloon siding, a tower wagon shed, two engine sidings, and an RGM siding.
