to achieve the 130 km per hour speed. The speed increase is expected to be implemented by August 24th on the relevant section. The railway line between Prayagraj Junction, via Rambag, to Banaras falls under the Varanasi division of Northeast Railway. This route has already been doubled and electrified from Banaras to Jhunsi. Currently, doubling work is underway between Jhunsi and Prayagraj Junction. As part of this doubling project, the Rail Vikas Nigam is constructing a bridge over the Ganges river. The laying of railway tracks on this bridge is in progress.
