The Howrah-Hatia Yoga Express remained at the scene for over an hour, while the Tata-Hatia Passenger and Barkakana-Tata Passenger train operations were affected. Forest officials, including the Chandil Ranger Manager, investigated the scene. Veterinary officials conducted a postmortem on the elephant, confirming significant internal injuries, including a broken spine and hind legs. The elephant was subsequently buried nearby. This marks the second elephant fatality within 11 months due to train collisions in the Chandil sub-division. Earlier, a two-month-old elephant calf was killed by a train near Gunda Vihar station in Neemdih block on June 10, 2023.

Howrah-Hatia Yoga Express almost 1 hour tak incident spot par rukhi, aur Tata-Hatia Passenger aur Barkakana-Tata Passenger train ka operation bhi affected hua. Chandil Ranger Manager sahit forest officials ne incident ko investigate kiya. Veterinary officials ne elephant ke postmortem kiya, aur confirmed kiya ki usko internal injuries bahut zyada thi, jisme spine aur hind legs bhi tut gaye the. Elephant ko ussi jagah paas mein hi dafna diya gaya. Yeh 11 mahine mein train se cut karke second elephant death hai, Chandil sub-division mein. Pehle, Neemdih block ke Gunda Vihar station ke paas, 10 June 2023 mein, ek 2 mahine ka elephant calf train ke hit hone se mar gaya tha.
