In rail operations there are many factors at play including crew deployment, crew linkage & utilisation, availability of staff for maintenance, loco change, shunting & so on, whether the station has adequate facilities for ensuring staff has resting place and other things. Unfortunately its a fact that all these constraints are observed in smaller pass through stations. In this case I have heard that Palani was being explored, but since it is a pass through stn MDU division was unwilling to spare staff just for the maintenance of this one train if it was terminated there. For now terminating at PGTN seems more from an operational point of view.

But small stations often struggle with all this. I heard they were thinking about using Palani, but since it's a small station, the MDU division didn't want to commit staff just for one train's maintenance if it ended there. So, it looks like stopping at PGTN is better for now, operation-wise.

Station mein staff ke liye resting place aur dusri facilities ka hona bhi zaroori hota hai. Unfortunately, yeh sach hai ki sabhi constraints chhoti pass through stations mein dekhe jaate hain. Is case mein maine suna hai ki Palani par focus kiya jaa raha tha, lekin kyun ki yeh ek pass through station hai, MDU division nahi chahti thi ki unka staff sirf is train ke maintenance ke liye spare kiya jaye agar yeh wahin terminate hoti. Abhi PGTN par terminate karna operation point of view se sensible lag raha hai.
