Aaj, Central Railway mein panch divisions hain, jo ki Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, aur Karnataka mein 4,275 kilometer se zyada area cover karte hain. Iska 100% electrification ho chuka hai, ek bada suburban network hai, aur yeh infrastructure improvement ke kaam bhi kar raha hai, jaise ki multi-tracking projects.
