The agency responsible for the work has already completed the doubling of the track on the Varanasi-Jhusi section. An official from the agency responsible for the track doubling and bridge construction stated that work has been accelerated on the Prayagraj Junction-Prayagraj Rambag section in line with the new target of June. Following instructions from the North Eastern Railway management, a bridge for the new track is being constructed at Parade after the bridge near the Sangam was completed. Once this work is completed by June, track laying will be carried out on the Jhusi and Prayagraj Rambag sections. The Daraganj station will be closed after the new track is operational.
