The Baiyappanahalli-Hosur doubling works (48 km) commenced in February, with tenders awarded for various tasks and completion expected within the fiscal years 2023-24 and 2024-28. Corridor-2 (Chikkabanavara-Yeshwanthpur-Baiyappanahalli, 25 km) and Corridor-4 (Rajanakunte-Yelahanka-Baiyappanahalli-Heelalige, 46.24 km) are also progressing, with contractors appointed for preliminary work and tenders for Rolling Stock procurement under Public-Private Partnership issued. This project aims for completion by December 2027. The Karnataka government and Railway Departments jointly sanctioned the Baiyappanahalli-Hosur and Yeshwantpur-Channasandra railway double-track construction via K-Ride on a cost-sharing basis in June 2020.
