a joint venture of Telangana-based Medha Servo Drives and Malaysia-based SMH Rail, are technologically advanced, with metal bodies, improved riding quality, and increased frequency. The new trains will undergo trials and require clearance from the Commissioner of Railway Safety before being put into public use. Once operational, the frequency of service is expected to decrease from 20-25 minutes to 5 minutes. The MMRDA merged the Monorail Project Implementation Unit with the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation in January 2024 to revive the financially struggling Mumbai Monorail, which has been incurring losses estimated at Rs 529 crore in 2023-24. However, a commuter activist, Jitendra Gupta, expressed concern about the monorail's route between Chembur and Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk, stating that it lacks significant passenger traffic.

In trains ko trials se guzarna hoga aur Commissioner of Railway Safety se clearance milne ke baad hi public use ke liye rakha ja sakega. Service operational hone ke baad, frequency 20-25 minutes se kam hoke 5 minutes ho jaayegi. Financially struggling Mumbai Monorail ko revive karne ke liye, January 2024 mein MMRDA ne Monorail Project Implementation Unit ko Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation mein merge kar diya tha. 2023-24 mein, monorail ko Rs 529 crore ka nuksan hua hai. Lekin, commuter activist Jitendra Gupta ne Chembur aur Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk ke beech monorail ke route ke baare mein concern dikhaaya, unhone kaha ki is route par jyada passengers nahi hain.
