more... special unreserved train is being run from Sabarmati to Chhapra on March 23. All Holi special trains have a provision for maximum sleeper and unreserved coaches. The Western Railway is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, including increasing the number of Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police personnel at stations, ensuring availability of food stalls, drinking water, toilets, waiting rooms, lifts/escalators, and parking. To prevent unauthorized occupancy of unreserved coaches, train doors and windows are being kept closed from the railway yard to the station, and Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police personnel are ensuring proper seating arrangements upon arrival. Announcements are being made frequently at platforms to inform passengers, and TV displays are showing arrival and departure times as well as platform numbers. Three additional ticket windows have been opened at the unreserved booking offices in Ahmedabad and Sabarmati to reduce waiting times for unreserved tickets.
