Notably, the 9.6 km long new railway line connecting Sonwal to the city has already undergone successful trial runs for train operations last year, and the CRS inspection had already given the green light for train operations. PWI (NER) Nishant Singh confirmed the commencement of the diesel engine trial for the new line from Sonwal to Ghat. Following this, load testing will be carried out, followed by speed trials with an electronic engine. The event was attended by Project Manager RK Singh and Deputy Manager Ritesh Singh from RVNL.
