The first phase will involve converting the 35.61 kilometer stretch between Bahraich and Nanpara, and the second phase will involve converting the remaining 20.54 kilometer stretch between Nanpara and Nepalganj. The project is expected to significantly improve connectivity between the two regions and will boost economic activity in the region. Train services on the Bahraich-Nanpara-Rupaidiha route will be suspended from February 10th, 2023, due to the gauge conversion work.
