The Indian Ministry of Railways announced on January 18, 2024, that commercial freight train operations have begun on the Pilkhani-Sahnewal section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC). This follows a successful trial run on the New Pilkhani-New Shambhu section.

Indian Railway Ministry ne 18 January, 2024 ko announce kiya hai ki Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) ke Pilkhani-Sahnewal section pe commercial freight train operations shuru ho gaye hain. Yeh New Pilkhani-New Shambhu section pe successful trial run ke baad hua hai.
