For that to happen MAQ should have Primary Maintenance, will SR accept it !!! They are not even allowing SWR trains to go till MAQ, we cannot dream of SR running a train for interior Karnataka from Mangaluru.

Some give and take between SR and SWR suggested: SWR take over West coast PM and run to MYS/ SBC as daytime train. SR can take maintenance of new UBL/ BJP/ BIDR train. Thereby one Karnataka train enters MAQ and Gomateshwara timings can be modified from MAQ. I think it is possible.

In long run, Hassan should be developed to get flexibility in operation

It is a genuine demand to have atleast one train to its state capital.......Mangalore Central - Bangalore Express must come.....but when we look at one side....I think there is congestion in MAQ...we could see most specials terminating at MAJN and even the Antyodaya tooo....so I think MAQ needs more Pfs and MAJN needs more stabling lines and pitlines....PM could be done at MAJN and trains could start from MAQ........

Its not the day train.....much demand is for the night train.....so MAQ should have more night trains to SBC.......3 dailies one via kunigal one via hassan one via mysore would do.....but there also I think the constraint for more trains is because of the ghat section.......so inorder to get more trains.....political pressure is very much needed...lets not forget irrespective of politics NKP has helped in bagging 2 most needed QLN - MS and QLN - Velankanni trains due to continuous efforts.....(special still, may get regularized soon ) sooo here also consistent political efforts is required........ Doubling of MAQ - Hassan section is a must for more trains now........Doubling and electrification.........
