fares on Vande Bharat are even higher than the first AC fares on Rajdhani Express, despite the latter having dynamic pricing. Consequently, the passenger count on Vande Bharat is significantly lower than Shatabdi Express. Passengers prefer travelling on Shatabdi and Rajdhani due to the availability of full berths for sleeping and similar fares, sometimes even lower. Statistics show that the average daily passenger count on Shatabdi Express between Gwalior and Bhopal is 200, whereas on Vande Bharat, it is only 120. The low passenger numbers have resulted in Vande Bharat's revenue being less than half its operational costs. Between April 2023 and January 2024, the railway spent around 75 crores on Vande Bharat's operation, generating only 31 crores in revenue. In contrast, Shatabdi Express incurred 35 crores in costs but generated over 42 crores in revenue.

Vande Bharat ki Executive Class ka fare, Rajdhani Express ke First AC se bhi zyada hai, jaise ki Rajdhani ka fare dynamic pricing pe hai. Is wajah se, Vande Bharat mein passengers ki sankhya Shatabdi se bohot kam hai. Log Shatabdi aur Rajdhani pe safar karna pasand karte hain kyunki unhe full berth milti hai sone ke liye, aur fare bhi lag bhag same hai ya kam bhi. Statistics se pata chalta hai ki Gwalior aur Bhopal ke beech Shatabdi Express mein average daily passengers ki sankhya 200 hai, jaise ki Vande Bharat mein sirf 120 hai. Kam passengers ki wajah se, Vande Bharat ka revenue, uske operational cost ka aadha bhi nahi hai. April 2023 se January 2024 ke beech, Railway ne Vande Bharat ke operation pe lag bhag 75 crores rupaye kharch kiye, par revenue sirf 31 crores rupaye hua. Dusri taraf, Shatabdi Express pe 35 crores rupaye kharch kiye gaye, par 42 crores se zyada ka revenue aaya.
