The initial project cost was estimated at ₹350 crores, but has since ballooned to ₹550 crores due to these delays. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has been notified of the stalled progress, which could lead to scrutiny from the Railway Board, West Central Railway Zone, and Jabalpur Railway Division. The project has been delayed by numerous factors, including disagreements between the previous contractor and the railway division over payments and commissions, and changes to the design plans. The Jabalpur Railway Division has taken more than a year to finalize the design plans, and the responsibility for the increasing project cost remains unclear. A new contractor is being considered, and the division aims to release the tender by November 30th, but given the delays so far, it is unlikely this deadline will be met. The delay in initiating the project has raised questions about the lack of preparation before the Prime Minister's launch event.

PMO ko shikayat aane se Railway Board, West Central Railway Zone aur Jabalpur Railway Division pe pressure badh sakta hai. Pehle contractor aur railway division ke beech payment aur commission ko leke disagreement aur design plan mein changes ki wajah se bhi der ho rahi hai. Jabalpur Railway Division ko design finalize karne mein ek se dedh saal lag gaya, aur cost badhne ke liye zimmedar koi nahin hai. Naya contractor dhundha ja raha hai, aur tender 30 November tak release hone ka plan hai, lekin pehle ki delays ko dekhte hue yeh deadline bhi nahin mil payega. Project launch se pehle proper planning nahin hone ka sawaal uth raha hai.
