spokesperson, Sabyasachi Dey, confirmed the departure of two trains, one with 49 wagons bound for Dharmanagar, Tripura, and the other with 50 wagons, 25 destined for Dharmanagar and 25 for Silchar, Assam. Dey indicated that track repair work is ongoing and the resumption of freight services depends on weather conditions. Tripura's Chief Minister, Manik Saha, thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the efforts. The Tripura government initiated petrol and diesel distribution for two-wheelers, cars, and commercial vehicles on April 30th. However, the state's food and civil supplies director, Nirmal Adhikari, acknowledged the ongoing fuel crisis and uncertainty regarding the full restoration of freight services.

Dey ne bataya ki track repair ka kaam chal raha hai aur malgadi services kab shuru honge yeh weather par depend karta hai. Tripura government ne 30 April se two-wheelers, cars, aur commercial vehicles ke liye petrol aur diesel distribution shuru kiya.
