Tripura's 1st Vande Bharat: Reach Guwahati in 4Hrs, Timings, Routes

Tripura is set to welcome its first Vande Bharat Express, a high-speed train service, aiming to significantly reduce travel time between Agartala and Guwahati. The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) is currently electrifying the railway network from Dharmanagar to Agartala, a crucial step to enable the Vande Bharat's extension to Agartala....

Once operational, the journey between Agartala and Guwahati will be cut down to 4-5 hours, compared to the current 12 hours. The Vande Bharat Express, known for its advanced amenities and high-speed capabilities, is expected to be operational in Tripura by June or July. The train is designed to travel at a maximum speed of 160 kmph, offering travel classes similar to Shatabdi trains but with enhanced facilities.
