Wonder why SWR doesnt run Diwali specials to CST , VSKP , NGP route ..running specials on the above route will benefit a lot of desperate passengers willing to go to home on Diwali ..dont know what will be the response of the SWR specials to tricchy , mysore , mas ..whether they are required at all ?

I will not prolong this discussion from my side, but is always celebrated in south as slaying of Narakasura. Not until recently all festivals and occasions were celebrated all over the country. Ultimately it all boils down to marketing and money. A decade ago Chennai could not care less about Raksha Bandana, but now it is great business. The same applies to all festivals and occasions. No offense meant, but burning of Ravana from the land of the Slinger is far more fun and marketable than killing of Narakasura and that is what will remain in the minds of the next generations and I could unfortunately found this post kind of making me lean more towards my belief that it is all about commercialization and vested interests.
