RVNL wins bid for Nagpur Metro Phase 2 civil package C6 project Chennai Metro receives first driverless train for phase II project NGT directs Uttarakhand to provide timeline for waste mgmt in Kedarnath Mumbai-Agra Highway traffic diversion in Nashik

The Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has been selected as the contractor for the civil package C6 of the Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project, which involves building 10 elevated metro stations along a 12.1 km stretch. This includes the 6.6 km western extension (Reach 3A) and the 5.5 km eastern extension (Reach...

4A) of the Aqua Line. The contract was awarded after RVNL was the only bidder remaining following the disqualification of YFC Projects – BBG Infrastructure JV for not meeting tender requirements. Meanwhile, Chennai Metro has received its first driverless trainset for its Phase II project from Alstom. These trains, comprising three cars each, will operate on a 26 km corridor connecting Poonamallee Bypass to Light House, featuring 28 stations. The NGT has instructed Uttarakhand to submit a timeline for establishing proper sewage treatment and solid waste management facilities in Kedarnath, following a plea alleging pollution from untreated sewage being discharged into the Mandakini river. Finally, police have diverted traffic on the Mumbai-Agra Highway along the Indiranagar-Mumbai Naka stretch due to ongoing work to lay a concrete layer over the asphalt road. The stretch will be closed until November 9, with diversions in place for motorists traveling in both directions.

Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project ke civil package C6 ke liye Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) ko contractor chuna gaya hai. Ye project 12.1 km lamba hai aur isme 10 elevated metro stations banaye jaayenge. Isme 6.6 km western extension (Reach 3A) aur 5.5 km eastern extension (Reach 4A) of Aqua Line...

bhi include hai. RVNL ko contract tab mila jab YFC Projects – BBG Infrastructure JV ko tender requirements ko fulfill nahin karne ke wajah se disqualified kar diya gaya. Iske alawa, Chennai Metro ko Alstom se Phase II project ke liye pehla driverless trainset mil gaya hai. Ye trains, har ek mein teen cars hai, 26 km lamba corridor par chalenga, jo Poonamallee Bypass ko Light House se connect karta hai aur isme 28 stations honge. NGT ne Uttarakhand ko Kedarnath mein proper sewage treatment aur solid waste management facilities establish karne ke liye timeline submit karne ka order diya hai. Ye order tab aaya jab koi petition daala gaya tha, jisme alleged kiya gaya tha ki untreated sewage Mandakini river mein discharged ho raha hai aur pollution ka reason ban raha hai. Last mein, Mumbai-Agra Highway ke Indiranagar-Mumbai Naka stretch par traffic divert kar diya gaya hai, kyunki asphalt road par concrete layer layne ka kaam chal raha hai. Ye stretch 9 November tak band rahega aur dono taraf aane jaane waale motorists ke liye diversions laga diye gaye hain.
