and completed the 903m excavation in 13 months. This TBM, along with six others, will create a total of 18km of twin tunnels for the underground section of Corridor 3, extending from Venugopal Nagar Station to Kelly's Station. The project also involves the construction of diaphragm walls, entry and exit structures, and launching and retrieval shafts at various stations, facing the challenge of tunnelling beneath historical structures in densely populated areas. The TBMs are equipped with versatile mixed-ground dome-style cutterheads and install reinforced concrete lining rings. The Chennai Metro Project Phase 2 aims to provide a convenient, affordable, and reliable transportation solution for the city's rapidly growing population.

Is project mein diaphragm walls, entry aur exit structures, aur different stations par launching aur retrieval shafts banane ka kaam bhi shamil hai, jisko densely populated areas mein historical structures ke neeche tunnel banane ki challenge ka samna karna pad raha hai.
