Chennai: New Double Elevated Depot To Boost Driverless Train Services In Phase-2

for operations during the rainy season and will support trains on Corridor-3, running from Madhavaram Milk Colony to Siruseri Sipcot. It is expected to be operational after Phase-2 starts, around a year or two later, to accommodate the increased passenger volume. Until then, Siruseri Sipcot will house 12-15 trains overnight with an elevated wash plant for cleaning. The originally planned depot at Siruseri was scrapped to reduce the project cost from Rs 89,000 crore to Rs 63,246 crore. The Madhavaram and Poonamallee depots will handle major and minor repairs for trains on Corridors 3, 4, and 5.

Tab tak, Siruseri Sipcot mein 12-15 trains overnight park honge, ek elevated wash plant saaf safai ke liye. Siruseri mein originally plan kiya gaya depot project cost ko Rs 89,000 crore se kam karke Rs 63,246 crore karne ke liye cancel kar diya gaya.
