In Delhi, the metro project addressed public concerns about vibrations by digging the tunnel deeper and engaging with affected residents. In Ahmedabad, a dedicated office was created to address concerns of residents near the underground track, minimizing complaints. The article contrasts these approaches with European models, where public consultation can take up to 4-5 years, prioritizing community engagement. The author emphasizes the importance of public consultation and transparency in urban planning projects.

Ahmedabad Metro ke ex-director, Sahabdev Singh, Indore ke plan ko galat bolte hain, aur kehte hain ki transparency nahin hai aur affected business aur residents ke questions ka jawab nahin diya...

ja raha. Unka kehna hai ki public se baat karna chahiye aur unka trust jeetna chahiye. Article mein Delhi aur Ahmedabad ke public consultation models ki baat ki gayi hai. Delhi mein, metro project ne vibrations ke bare mein logon ke doubts ko clear kiya, tunnel ko aur zyada gehra karke aur affected residents se baat karke. Ahmedabad mein, underground track ke paas rehne walon ke doubts ko clear karne ke liye ek special office banaya gaya, jisse complains kam hue. Article mein Europe mein public consultation ki baat bhi ki gayi hai, jahaan pe community engagement pe zyada focus kiya jaata hai aur ismein 4-5 saal lagte hain. Author keh raha hai ki urban planning projects mein transparency aur public consultation bahut important hai.
