Mangalore Central and Junction Railway Station to See ATVMs

Southern Railway's Palakkad division has reintroduced Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) at Mangaluru Junction, Mangaluru Central, and Kasargod stations. To encourage their use, 300 assistants will be deployed to help passengers purchase unreserved tickets. The goal is to eventually switch over to ATVM-based ticket distribution entirely, reducing the workload on railway department employees. Applications for the assistant positions are open until May and can be downloaded from the Southern Railway website.
