to the Puranapul Chowki in-charge, Dhirendra Tiwari, information was received from locals about the incident. Upon reaching the spot, a mobile number was discovered on a piece of paper in the deceased's pocket. This number helped identify the deceased as 25-year-old Umesh Gupta, a resident of Jaalhupur (Chaubepur). Umesh, the youngest of three brothers, ran a general store in Jaalhupur. He had left his store around 9:30 AM to purchase goods. He was unmarried.

Umesh, apne teen bhaiyon mein sabse chhota tha, Jaalhupur mein ek general store chalaata tha. Vo subah 9:30 baje apni dukaan se paisa lekar saaman kharidne ke liye nikla tha. Umesh ki shaadi nahi hui thi.
