by 2026. The North Eastern Frontier Railway will operate the trains on this route. This railway connection is expected to boost trade and tourism between India and Bhutan, opening new opportunities for Assam. The survey for the Kokrajhar-Gelephu route was completed in April 2023, and construction is expected to commence soon. The initiative was first discussed in 2018, and the agreement was finalized after five years of negotiations. Future plans include extending the railway network to other locations.

2026 tak complete hone ki ummid hai. North Eastern Frontier Railway is route pe trains chalayega. Yeh railway connection India aur Bhutan ke beech trade aur tourism ko boost karega aur Assam ke liye naye opportunities khulega. Kokrajhar-Gelephu route ka survey April 2023 mein complete ho gaya tha aur construction jaldi hi shuru hone wala hai. Is initiative ki baat pehle 2018 mein hui thi aur agreement 5 saal baad finalize hua hai. Future plans mein aur jagah par railway network extend karna shamil hai.
