Currently, the station has one FOB on the eastern end, along with an incomplete passenger shelter. Platform number 2, with its old, small gravel and coal tar surface, lacks amenities, causing discomfort for passengers during harsh weather conditions. The station, serving as the district headquarters, handles around 15,000 passengers daily. Passengers are hopeful that the station's expansion will enhance facilities. The beautification project will cater to the next 50 years' needs. It includes widening the old FOB, building a new one, enhancing the main entrance with local art and culture, upgrading platform surfaces, modern lighting, coach guidance system, train display boards, and a 2-bay platform shelter on platform number 4 to protect passengers from sun and rain.
