Vande Bharat trains see overwhelming response; Railways planning to add another one from Secunderabad to Pune

The South Central Railway (SCR) has reported full occupancy for all four existing Vande Bharat trains in December 2023. 2023, saw 114% occupancy outbound and 105% inbound. The Kacheguda-Yesvantpur Vande Bharat, launched in September 2023, saw 107% occupancy outbound and 110% inbound. The Vijayawada-MGR Chennai Vande Bharat, also introduced in September 2023, saw 126% outbound and 119% inbound occupancy. The SCR general manager, Arun Kumar Jain, highlighted the popularity of the Vande Bharat trains and stated that the railway will strive to meet passenger demands.
