It is much awaited train and I believe, SR authorities should also be waiting for doubling upto MDU to complete before a few more trains esp. morning departure trains from MS could be introduced on the route. After doubling and electrification, this route is going to give high avg. speeds to its crack trains.
Following group of trains should take care of the day time intra city travellers, followin 4 chaircar type trains should be in place

If one pair each can be started from MAS, it will provide much convenience to large number of long distance travellers who change train at Chennai to proceed towards the southern TN districts.
There is a big green flag in my mind for Pallavan2 & Vaigai2 this since more than a decade.
