Udhampur is the place where Northern Command HQ of Army is located which makes it one of the important locations for Army. There is huge movement of defense personnel on this train through out the year. If extended to Katra, the train will primarily be used by Yatris more and will put a burden on an already overburdened train. They may extend other trains and put some new trains to SVDK but will not extend this.
