Part 6: Rampage mode on
After badnera departure My train suddenly picked up a different mode it was rampaging through stations skipping at MPS till now 51 crossings and overtakes happened, only a slowdown at akola overtaking a frieght from loop and back at MPS, the rampage continued till Bhusawal outer, till then it dusted the likings of Shegaon and Malkapur stations at 95+ a laggy run was suddenly energy charged.
WAG7 is a heavy roller when it comes to speed, it takes time, but when it comes to MPS, it is deadly....
more... I calculated at Badnera that with this delay i would be able to catch Mangla SF but at 6pm i was at Bhusawal. The average rose from 68 to 76 in just 140+kms run full on Maximum Permissible speed of 100km/h flat. Almost 80 frieghts crossed us till bhusawal from Nagpur and we overtook around 7 of them. Who says the section is empty ;) .
LHB's are not railfan friendly, true because doorplating and window gazing is difficult because of design, but a tasty thing about LHB's is the track sounds they make on crossovers, a new found love on first travel.
I saw GZB WAP4 led 12715 Sachkhand SF waiting for me on PF4 while we were arriving on PF3 i rushed through the crowd and just boarded and it started to run, i took a picture of the rake, bidding farewell to an immensly action packed adventure, Sachkhand ran as fast as it could, overtook Sant Kabir dham SF and arrived destination in 35mins, with all the laggy acceleration WAP4's acceleration felt revitalising.
In short memorable first run in LHB.
